HI.

This page is specifically dedicated to all the photographs that were taken for the one-of-a-kind handmade lyric book called “Hi”. It is a personal interpretation of the song “Hi” by Psapp the use of studio photography and the pop art aesthetic. The story depicts an exploration of the female identity from childhood to early adolescence. We enter the world of our main character stripped of her true individual identity and we navigate with her through a journey of feeling life pressures and expectations while simultaneously trying to remain her innocence. Through the use of props and semiotics, I challenge the irony of what we see and what we hear in the song.
